Bloemfontein N8 crash leaves one dead, two injured

A head-on collision last night along the N8, thirty kilometres from Bloemfontein has left one dead and two injured.

A report from the scene indicates that a light motor vehicle had been stuck in the mud at the side of the roadway when it was hit by a heavy goods vehicle.

Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha reported that when paramedics arrived on the scene and found that one man had tragically died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.

The two other occupants for the vehicle were found to have serious injuries.

Paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene before they transported them to a hospital in Bloemfontein for the care that they required.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
