Eskom: No decision made on re-application to Nersa

Eskom confirmed that they are still studying the National Energy Regulator of South Africa’s determination and that no decision regarding re-application has been made.

This as Nersa rejected Eskom application for an additional 10.1% tarrif hike.

Acting Director General Donald Liphoko said Eskom will follow the relevant government procedures in this regard, and after deliberations will inform government the shareholder of its next step in this matter.

Liphoko said in keeping with the spirit of the public hearings and acting in the country’s economy, it is important that all parties are transparent and act timelessly.
