A complaint logged by the HETN against Judge Jeanette Traverso

The Higher Education Transformation Network has officially launched a complaint against Western Cape High court Deputy President Judge Jeanette Traverso.

The Network says Judge Traverso’s conduct during the Shrien Dewani trial was bias and needs to be investigated.

HETN spokesperson Hendrick Makaneta says we are particularly concerned in as far as the Judiciary bias is concerned.

Makaneta says we have therefore liaised, sent the complaint to the Judicial Service Commission so that the matter of the judicial bias by the judge can be thoroughly investigated.

We expect a response as soon as possible from the JSC in as far as our complaint is concerned Makaneta added.
