A pedestrian died in Bloemfontein after being knocked over

An accident late last night left one person dead after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle on the N1 north bound in Bloemfontein. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man’s lifeless body on the road.

Steinmann said unfortunately there was nothing further that paramedics could do for the man due to the extensive injuries that he had sustained during the accident.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
