A woman in her
late twenties sustained critical injuries when a vehicle struck her this
morning on Longmore Drive

Werner Vermaak said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found that
bystanders have pulled her in the middle from the middle of the road.
“She sustained
critical head injuries and paramedics had to stabilised before she was rushed
through to nearby hospital for further medical treatment
it is understood
that the vehicle collided with her when she tried to cross the road. Some of
the bystanders explained that the vehicle immediately sped off after colliding
with her.” Vermaak added.
The incident was
handed over to the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department for investigation
