Hospitals receive more power

Gauteng Health MEC Ntombi Mekgwe said that hospital CEOs were getting more power to deal with problems in their institutions.
The MEC did not mention when the improvements would begin.
Last week, Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane said the Health and Social Development Department would divided because of problems with provincial hospitals.
She made these announcements during her State of the Province Address in Pretoria
