Two people die in an accident in Belhar

A serious collision occurred this morning on the corners of Symphony and Stellenbosch Arterial in Belhar claiming the lives of two people.
A medium sized refrigerated delivery truck allegedly collided with the side of a small hatchback sedan.
ER24 paramedics, Metro Rescue and ambulance services including Fire and rescue services attended to the scene.
The front passenger of the sedan received the full force of the impact as the collision was on the left side of the vehicle and was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the sedan's injuries were severe and unfortunately paramedics were unable to revive the man and he was also declared dead at the scene.
An investigation has been opened to discover the cause of the accident.
