The police are searching for a 22-year old suspect in connection with a kidnapping case.
The suspect is 1, 7 metres tall, slender build and dark in complexion.
It is alleged a 60 year-old grandmother reported her granddaughter missing.
The girl was playing with her friends inside the premises of KTC hall when she was approached by the suspect who asked them where he can buy electricity.
They gave him directions and he asked the girls to show him the place.
The three children escorted him to Spar where he did some shopping. He then asked them to assist him with carrying the bags.
Two of the girls refused and he forced one girl to walk in front and disappeared.
A search started for the missing girl and on Sunday afternoon, police were contacted at the JOC, that she has just arrived. After a medical examination was done, it was discovered that the girl had been raped.
A case of kidnapping and rape is being investigated at the FCS.
The police have urged parents to keep a watchful eye on their children and not to go anywhere with strangers.
