Klerksdorp crash leaves 1 dead

A head-on collision near Klerksdorp left one person dead and six others injured in the early hours on Monday morning.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said among the injured was a baby and two others who were in a critical condition in hospital. Three people sustained serious injuries.

The accident happened on the N12 freeway between Klerksdorp and Wolmaransstad.

It is still unclear what caused the incident.
