A pedestrian is in a serious condition after being hit by a car on Old Paarl Road near Okavango Road in Brackenfell this afternoon.
“It is alleged that the male pedestrian, estimated to be in his twenties, was crossing the road when he was hit by a Ford,” said ER24 spokesman Tristan Wadely.
The car was travelling on Old Paarl Road in the direction of Bellville when the incident occurred.
“The pedestrian sustained suspected fractures of his arms and legs, soft tissue injuries and a head injury,” added Wadely.
Wadely also confirmed that the victim was transported by ER24 ambulance to Tygerberg Hospital for further treatment.
